Next Sunday I will be featuring Mike Runner, our weekly Sunday columnist.
Mike is a great guy. A pensive man.
Mike is a bit of a jokester.
Mike is also a recovering alcoholic.
Has been to hell and back, as he says. He also says that he had a great childhood, has wonderful parents, was given privileges many of us don't have the opportunity to enjoy, was a theology major, youth pastor, music minister, and was the last person anyone would have thought could succumb to life threatening addiction.
Mike survived. And he has a story to tell.
It is my belief that his story will resonate with many. I'm especially excited about how his insight can impact hearts that are broken due to the pain of either being married to, or raised by an addict. He widens our lens, and helps us to understand the addict's mind.
His column, "Never Anonymous," begins next Sunday, July 29. I am very excited.
